WHAT WE HAVE DONE TOGETHER SO FAR
After the takeover of the Taliban in mid-August 2021, we have aggregated many Italian squares around the slogan AFGHAN LIVES MATTER-EVERY LIFE COUNTS with flash mobs and events in presence in numerous cities on the days of 11 and 25 September, and we have started the process of building the Euro-Afghan Coalition STAND UP FOR CHANGE WITH AFGHAN WOMEN! through the first national meetings.
Between September and December 2021, CISDA carried out or participated in about 150 initiatives in many Italian cities, responding to the request of local organisations and sending its activists in presence or remotely. Several initiatives were also carried out in schools. Requests to participate continue to come in despite a decrease in media attention: a sign that civil society is very vital and determined to continue the mobilisation.
On the institutional level, CISDA has been invited to the following parliamentary hearings:
- III Commission/Permanent Committee on Human Rights in the World - Chamber (21/09/2021). COGNITIVE INVESTIGATION ON THE COMMITMENT OF ITALY IN THE INTERNATIONAL
- COMMUNITY FOR THE PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND AGAINST DISCRIMINATION. Together with CISDA, RAWA was invited to participate.
III Commission (Foreign Affairs and Migration) and IV Commission (Defence) - Senate of the Republic (INTERNATIONAL INTERVENTION IN AFGHANISTAN 09/11/2021). Together with CISDA, Prof A. Giustozzi from King's College London was invited to participate.

Cisda onlus, as part of the actions promoted by the Euro-Afghan coalition and the Relay Feminist Italy-Afghanistan project, contributed to the initiative by reporting one of the witnesses - Nahid A., a very young Afghan activist on the Balkan route.
Together with a representative of the sponsoring organizations and the other witnesses present at the event, Nahid brought to the attention of parliamentarians and journalists her complaint on the violence suffered at European borders: https://www.rtbf.be/article/la -campagne-feminist-asylum-changer-ce-systeme-dasile-qui-oblige-les-femmes-a-risquer-leur-vie-10998381
