WHY THIS COALITION STAND UP FOR CHANGE WITH AFGHAN WOMEN!
STAND UP FOR CHANGE WITH AFGHAN WOMEN! It is a platform defined on the basis of shared political objectives between European civil society and Afghan secular and democratic organisations. Cisda decided to respond to the call of the Afghan secular and democratic forces - RAWA (Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan) and to Hambastagi (Solidarity Party of Afghanistan) and to create an alliance between them and the European Associations and networks that, while acting in specific areas, such as disarmament, peace and anti-militarism, gender equality, migration issue, exit from NATO, identify common grounds for action to promote real democracy both in Afghanistan and in Italy and Europe.
The aim of the Coalition network is to support the resistance of democratic associations in Afghanistan by acting in a coordinated manner among all Coalition member organisations and in collaboration with other civil society networks.
The Coalition promotes campaigns based on specific appeals that start from the points of the platform as a tool to reach policy makers in a mutual support to promote campaigns and mobilisations (see links to the Petition page and to the page "Campaigns and actions promoted by Stand Up for change with Afghan Women!").

HOW TO JOIN AND PARTICIPATE TO THE COALITION

È necessario abilitare JavaScript per vederlo. together with the logo of your organisation and the following information: name of your organisation; contact details with telephone number and direct email address; city or local area in which you operate; link to your website and social media. THANK YOU!
Depending on the availability of each organisation, we ask members to:
- to participate in national Coalition online meetings (usually one convocation every two/three months). Communications and reports of the meetings will be sent to the contact person(s) you indicated in your membership. We will also be happy to propose to our Afghan comrades enrichments to the text of the political platform, from an intersectional point of view: we will therefore welcome any contributions deriving from your specific action and experience;
- mobilise with us to support the Coalition's actions;
- help us to collect further memberships in your territory;
- use for initiatives and events that can be linked to the Coalition STAND UP FOR CHANGE WITH AFGHAN WOMEN! the banner common to all our network to be included in your promotional material for a greater impact in the media and towards policy makers. The image was created by one of the young guests of the orphanage supported by Cisda in Kabul, evacuated for security reasons during the Taliban advance in August 2021. Cisda is committed to taking care of the Coalition network by continuing to organise national online meetings for sharing among all stakeholders. These meetings will subsequently be extended to European and non-European organisations that wish to join.
Cisda, is available to participate (in presence or remotely), subject to the availability of its activists, who are all volunteers, in the events that will be organized locally by member organizations to present the platform STAND UP FOR CHANGE WITH AFGHAN WOMEN!
